Multicam audio sync

I love the idea of a tool that automatically syncs the audio from several camcorder sources in the Multicam Editor. I've seen Cornico's demo tutorials -- but there is no audio. And Movie Studio's Help files offer no information on this new feature.

Is there a detailed tutorial or explanation of how to use this cool tool?

Just select the audio events and then select the synchronize function from the Extras/Multicam menu.

I prefer synchronising manually as this is faster and more reliably for me.

There must be more to it, Marco. The audio tracks for all four camcorders is virtually identical but, when I select them and then apply the sync option, the program tells me they can't be synchronized.

In Cornico's demo, the timeline cursor is already showing that it is set to sync before he even selects the tracks. I'm not sure how that's possible.

"the program tells me they can't be synchronized."

That's one reason why I found manually synchronizing is more reliable. Same thing happens to me sometimes and I don't know why it sometimes refuses to synchronize while sometimes it works.

Maybe in your case one or some of the audio events would need to be moved more to the left side as it's possible.

I think I found one of the causes which prevents synchronizing:

While trimming (before using the sync function) the end of events does't seem to affect synchronizing, trimming the start of events more than about 40 % will break synchronizing.

I was excited about this feature and at first it seemed to work well, but more recently, it doesn't seem able to synchronize even the simplest of tracks, even if almost identical. I tried Marco's suggestion and although I didn't get the message saying the tracks couldn't be synchronized, when it completed, the tracks weren't even on top of each other. I watched Cornico's videos and unlike his, my 'synchronization' takes up to 5 minutes and doesn't seem to work.

I upgraded specifically for this feature, i wish it would actually work.
