I had a similar problem and found that the "slip" (or "slide) function worked. My recollection is that it will move the selected take wrt the others. Look up how to use it in help. I hope this helps.

Jerry

Thanks Jerry but I'm not familier with the "slip or "slide" function. Can you elaborate please?

I don't know how to fix the sync after the multicam track has been created. Seems like a lot of manual work.

Musicvid is correct. The slip technique works on a take by take basis. I.E. you would have to select each camera take separately and hold alt while shifting the take. If the whole camera track is out of sync from the beginning one could render the offending track with the shift built in and replace the take with the shifted video. Hope this helps.

This happened to me once. Luckily I always save a regular veg file right before I do multicam and then I save another veg file with the word multicam in it and work from that veg file from them on.

What I did was went through the video and realized I didn't sync something right about 3/4ths of the way through as it drifted (the audio). I then went back to the other veg file, found the spot where I first started noticing it and slipped it over to sync back up and checked it the remainder of the project. Once I was sure it was synced, I then saved it, split it at the beginning of where I fixed it and turned it into a multicam project. I then copied the multicam video (I never do multicam audio) and pasted it into the multicam veg file on a track above the original multicam video track. I line it back up, cut out the previous wrongly synced portion and continue on my merry way.

This does not help you now, but it may help you in the future if you choose to use this workflow.

The manual says this: "If you want to slip all of an event's takes when slipping media, make sure Slip All Takes is selected in the Options menu."

So my understanding is that if you are editing multi-cam and you need to slide two adjacent clips (ctrl + alt + drag) you need to have this checked or the other takes within the clips you are sliding will go out of sync. Correct?

I've had some sync problems with editing multi cam clips and I just noticed the button was not engaged.
