Moving a question here I should have asked here in the first place...didn't notice the scripting forum until just now.
Is there a script for multicam that will automatically insert cuts and select takes in a specified sequence?
Suppose I have three sources: wide and close from the same angle, and the third source is from a side angle.
So, in my example, once I get it set up for multicam editing with the three sources showing in my edit window, I would like to run a script that would chop up my prepared multicam track, say, every 8 seconds, in the following order: wide, side, close, side and repeat.
This would quickly give me a rough cut. At that point, I could play the result and make any necessary tweaks.
As it is, I have to play it once to insert the cuts manually, and then play it back to check to be sure the cuts are OK. OR, I can hit S to cut and then click to select the source. Either way, if all I'm wanting to do is get some quick cuts in place, it seems a script like I'm talking about would speed up workflow.
I am running Vegas 9, by the way, on a Windows 7 i5 processor desktop computer made by ASUS.
(I plan to upgrade eventually, but both Vegas 11 and 12 demos crashed when I tried to run them on my current computer...going to have to upgrade hardware before upgrading software.)
