Multiple Audio Tracks Possible?

I was wondering how many audio tracks you can have in Vegas? I only see one track but what if I want to play four different types of sounds at the exact time? How would I set that up?

You can have up to 4 tracks, each one stereo. Drag another sound clip onto the timeline, but below the existing audio track. That should cause Vegas to add a new audio track for that clip.

On VMSP 9 5.1 is also supported, so not sure if it's just 4 anymore.

Or just right click on an audiotrack or in the free space below and select Insert Audio Track.

In ver. 9 it is still max 4 tracks. Stereo - providing max. 8 channels.
