When I used to use DVD Movie Factory it would let me set it to burn multiple copies and all you had to do was change the new DVD for a blank and hit the ok button to burn the next one.
With dozens of copies it is a really nice feature. I am wondering how to do something similar with DVD Architech?
Not sure if you can do it in DVD architect or not, but the best way to make multiple copies it to create the VIDEO_TS file on your hard drive, then burn that file instead of burning it from the program you authored it in. IT usually goes a lot faster too since most DVD authoring programs aren't desinged very well for burning.
I don't quite understand how the structure of the DVD for DVD players differs from a basic file structure when I back up files to a DVD.
If I copy the two directories (with contents) off one of my DVD's VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS to my drive, then what would the procedure be to duplicate with Nero?
Would I just start a new project and set it up to copy those directories and files to a DVD?
Can a DVD also have regular computer files on it? I would like to include a bunch of reference PDF's, but still want the DVD to play in consumer DVD players.
Yes, you can burn multiple copies. Instead of choosing "Prepare and burn" just choose "Burn" and give it the subdirectory where you saved the previously prepared DVD. You can make as many copies as you like without re-preparing.
Yes, I know that, but after every copy, I have start back and click, click, click to burn the next DVD. It is not slow, but it requires about four clicks.
With the other program, I could have anybody in the office replace the DVD and click OK to start a new one.
We use Prassi PrimoDVD for long runs. Every 20 or 30 minutes the PC emits a "gong", alerting whoever is on duty to put in a new blank. Someday we'll be able to afford a robotic duplicator but for now...
