multiple pic effect

beerandchips wrote on 1/17/2004, 9:06 AM
Either I can't find an effect within Vegas to do this or my brain has fried but I need to have multilple boxes on screen (like abekas dve will do). Does Vegas have an effect for this? If not, is this something a script will do and is there a scritpt to do it? This is not something I do often, but I have a producer that wants it done for a fundraising spot.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You.

Steve

Do you mean the "Brady Bunch" effect? This can be achieved very easily with track motion. Place each picture on a separate track and use track motion to resize and position them in the frame.

Yes, this is the Video Wall tool in Tsunami.

I don't think there is, but after reading this thread I'm curious to know: Is there a way to auto align or distibute the multiple windows ( tracks ) or do you have to eyeball it ?

If you use track motion manually you can type in precise values to get perfect alignment. Eyeball it to get close, then tweak to perfection. Once you've got a nice arrangement, save the .veg file and you can recycle it in the future.

I tried the Tsunami video wall with 10 x 10 video pics. 100 tracks! A few seconds wait then there it was - would have taken hours to do manually. I believe its max is 20 x 20, which would cater for families much larger than the Brady's!

This is exactly why I wanted a plug-in that would do this for me. Let's say it took me 30 or 60 minutes to set this up. 30 dollars for this plug-in has just paid for itself the first time. I only wish I knew how to write scripts, but I have never been good at any program language.

I can't wait for this to arrive in my mailbox.

I'm not sure anyone provide the direct link to Tsunami, so here it is:
