multiple PIP videos to fit

Hi,
I would like to create a 1280 by 960 pixel project using four video streams of 640 by 480. Is there a simple way of doing this without pan/cropping etc to create the effect. I would like to maintain the video size so that I can just position without playing around with the scaling. Perhaps even grid the screen into four sections so that I can just drag the video into the area?
Any ideas?
Thanks

Try free videowall plugin: http://www.davitools.com/videowall/DownloadVw.aspx

This is pretty easy to set up yourself. Just add 4 tracks and adjust the Track Motion on each to position the video into a different quadrant on the screen. Then anything you drop on those tracks will be in the proper quadrant.

In Track Motion on each track you simply set the Width: 640 and Height: 480 and then change the X and Y to half those values depending on the quadrant. Here is what they should be for each of the four quadrants:

Top Left: X= - 320, Y= 240
Top Right: X= 320, Y= 240
Bottom Left: X= - 320, Y= - 240
Bottom Right: X= 320, Y= - 240

Once you set this up you should be able to drop 640x480 video onto the appropriate track and have it display properly. Personally I would name the tracks: Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, & Bottom Right to minimize confusion.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for the input. I chewed on it after I posted the problem and decided on basically the same concept as Johnnyroy. The firewall software looks interesting too.
Thanks again!
