Nope. Multiple versions of Vegas can be installed at the same time. However ... were the missing plugins native Vegas or third party. If the latter, then you may still have problems if you don't have those older third party plugins installed on your system. Cheers, Robbie

Native Vegas. When I installed v22 on a new machine it seemed like a lot less native plugins. Is it correct that if I install the older versions I will have use of all the accumulated native plugins in v22?

There's nothing stopping you from installing older versions. However if the plugins no longer exist you need to finish that part of the project in the old version and render it out, or remove them from the original project and recreate their function in 22.

For more specific advice please share exactly which plugins are missing.

FreeverbTooDX has been an issue. Perhaps it doesn't work in a 64 bit environment?

Never heard of that. Looking it up it says "16 bit DX plugin" so I think no way that would work.

OK, so I need to open the VEG in the version it was created, remove the offending plugin and resave, correct? It's crashing v22.

That's what I'd do. Is there an error message with what is crashing (click show problem details?)

If that doesn't work another idea is to open both programs and copy and paste the timeline from the older one to 22. Just remember if you save a .veg in a newer version of VEGAS it won't open in an older one (copy and paste should work though in either direction).

I'll give it a shot. Thanks for your help.

My current laptop has versions 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23.

My laptop that just died had 5, 7, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21.

I have just about every version from Vegas v1 up to v22, though I'd have to dig out my installation discs to load v1 or v2.
