Multiple Windows

I have been using Vegas 6 for a while and am now comfortable with using basic features. I now need to have various video files playing in multiple windows or frames on the screen at one time. I need to know how to do this quickly. All the reference material I have does not tell me how to do it. Can anyone please, please help?

Quick Reply?: Use Track Motion.

Want a longer reply? I'll expand.

However I use Video Wall one of the Tools within Excalibur. It will do 20x20 = 400! Videos .. never done that amount though.

When you have a "veg" set up the way you want keep it as a format to be used in some other project.

Video wall in Excalibur
Video wall in Ultimate S
dozens of various veg files on the VASST site
Pan crop, track motion, cookie cutter can all be used.
Luminance masks or alpha channel masks can all be used.
In other words, there are many, many ways to achieve this. Can you provide more info about your specific wants?

As others have said, there are several ways, I'm a beginner, and find the pan/crop the easiest since I'm used to doing it with pictures, but I haven't really tried the other ways before, so I should learn those ways too.

Is this like what you're talking about?

Put each video on a separate track, and then use track motion to make each video smaller and move each video to the location you want. If you want videos to overlap each other, the video on the upper track will be in front of the videos below.
