Music for Use in Editing?

I am new to editing & wonder where people obtain music for use as background music for their projects?

I am mindful of copyright & royalty issues & wonder how you get around these issues? I am doing slideshows & DVD's for children.

Have a look at Freeplay Music for music that's as free as it gets. There are apps which will generate music to fit your video, but I'm not a fan. For any copy righted music you need a synchronization license to include it in your video - there's been a lot written about them in his forum but the bottom line is they're not practical for the amateur.

Yes. I thought you could get the music on CD, but that doesn't seem to be an option now.
