The "Pro" version of Vegas is a separate animal from the "Studio" versions, even though some of the studio versions have "pro" in the name (very unfortunately marketing choice). Vegas Pro costs about $700 compared to under $150 for the studio versions.

If you bought the packaged version on disc then there are folders on the installation disc that contain a variety of media including the soundtracks, background images, clip art, etc. Browse the disc to find them, copy the ones you want to use to your hard drive and add them to your project like any other media.

If you got the downloaded version then there is a separate download available from the same download page where you got Vegas. This download contains all the extra media.

They should have been located towards the bottom of the download screen if you downloaded your purchase, but if you ordered the disk, I cannot say. On the download option, you only get three attempts to download, so be very careful you have a stable internet connection as the zip file is over 700Mb in size and you will lose a download attempt every time your connection drops. My suggestion is to get a download utility like GetRight that picks up the download where you left off, saving the last download and (hopefully) ending up with ALL of the file in the end... You may have to try and get hold of Sony Creative Customer Services to ask for another download attempt.

Thanks!
i found them and some other maps as well.
the soundbase isn't that what i had hoped but i still have "magix music maker 15" with about 25.000 loops i have gathered.
so no shortage on effects and (self made) music samples!
