I use AKM.

Great sounds and like any good RF house they provide you with the option to "hear" and now download separate tracks - kinda mix 'n match.

I've also used their Go Trax product. Brilliant! This is somewhere between ACID loops and full long session "songs" - each "part" is separated and you can stretch the music to the feel of the movie; shuffle parts of the theme about or juggle bits 'n pieces about.

And yes I have reviewed their products and yes I have also bought from them too. Here yah goes

Grazie

The one suggested by Spot is really good - I have their 10 CD set and use it often! There are full length songs as well as shorter (60, 30, 20, 10 second) versions.

Another source I use is Catovah.

TracksNow is another library that is affordable and very good.

I would really like to know what music library GM Elliot is using!

Pick something that means something to the bride and groom. I just did a photo montage for a couple who met singing in an a college a cappella group. I used recordings of that group and mixed together five different songs into a five minute montage.

One song I've used more than once, and that couples really like, is "Unforgettable," that wonderful recording by Nat King Cole. I use the version that his daughter Natile released, with her signing a duet with her late father. It works well because you can appear to have her sing to him and vice versa (i.e., you can cut the pictures to follow the music).

and then click on "Priestly.wmv" or "Graham_Tacy_14.wmv" to see two examples that match my above description. You'll need to save the file to your disk, or you can click on Open to play it directly from the site.

John,
I really like your video and musiv selections. How in the world do you do the snow, candle blow-out, and the 3D stuff. That was really cool! I always thought my stuff was pretty good, but now I see I can improve.

Snow I did directly in Vegas. Did a search on this forum and at VASST and found a VEG file that used a combination of three tracks using the Fractal generated media and one using the Marble generated media. I overlayed this on top of the photo, which I then panned and zoomed. This was an effect the client dreamed up and asked for.

The candle blow-out I've described before. I simply blew out a real candle, filmed against a complete black background. I superimposed this over the pic, lined everything up and zoomed to get the candle to the correct size, dropped out the black background (based on luma values), and that was it.

I don't think I did much 3D stuff in the wedding video, although I did do some in the two videos I did for the high school senior class. I just used the 3D parent track.

So I guess "Highway to Hell" would be out of the question? j/k

You might look at some classical music as it may be free of copyright or licensing from ASCAP or BMI may be cheap considering your audience. Please, not Pachabels' Canon! I don't know about you all but I hate that song now...

Look at Magnatunes.com, especially for classical.

Please, not Pachabels' Canon! I

Hey, my wife came down the aisle to that music! Of course thirty years ago, virtually no one played it, and it hadn't yet been used for "Ordinary People" and the GE light bulb commercial and countless other projects.

Not Pachelbel's Canon huh?

Sorry, but that's still one of my favorites - If you are getting tired of it (yes, it is way overused) there are some very interesting versions of it out there - One in particular by George Winston on piano is absolutely superb. They even have the Canadian Brass doing it (wouldn't use that for a wedding though).

If you're talking about regular music (not royalty free) I would heartly suggest "Watermark" by Enya, "The Wedding Song" by Paul Stookey (Peter, Paul & Mary), "God Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts, "True Companion" by Marc Cohen, "Today" by John Denver.

Then there's always the classic "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights".....
