My clips are gone

Hi, My question is that my clips in Sony Vegas 14 are just GONE. I load up Sony Vegas 14 and the clips are gone. what I've edited so far is still on the preview screen but the clips are gone. Can anyone please help me! This has happened twice already!

Did you move the media files used in this project? Is the hard drive still active that has the media files?

Sorry i am such a noob at this, what is that supposed to mean? and yes all my hard drives are active im using a Gt62VR 6RD Dominator Gaming laptop will that affect anything? Sorry for bothering you, im just a dumb 12 year old trying to start a youtube channel, thanks for your help! I also get this all the time, does that mean anything serious?

Your "media" is what you put on the timeline .. video .. still images .. titles .. Once it's on the timeline, in Vegas, it is known as an "event" .. You should be aware of where your media is stored.
