My DVD won't let me create a DVD

Howdy. Not sure if this suggests an install problem or whether My DVD thinks it is smarter than me but I ran into an issue immediately upon using it.

Currently I do not have a DVD burner in my system (within a Payday or two this will be rectified). Regardless, I still wanted to start the layout and editing process since this should be doable regardless. But no dice, My DVD will only let me edit VCDs - all other options are greyed out.

Is this a bug or install issue? Or does it actually force me to have a DVD burner in my machine before I can start laying out a DVD?

On the surface this software looks pretty weak. . .I wish I known about the new Vegas Movie Studio version with DVD architect before I had paid me money a week ago.

Cheers

I think this may be by design. MyDVD 5.2.3 won't allow you to do anything without a DVD burner installed (from what I remember). MyDVD 4.5.2 didn't require this. We shipped MyDVD 4.5.2 with Movie Studio 3.0 but 3.0b ships with MyDVD 5.2.3

There must be a way around this. I looked on the Sonic site but found nothing.
