Hi --

I haven't posted here all year, but I wanted to pop in and share my latest video commercials, produced with Vegas, to get your feedback... (am I getting better?):

www.VictoryInVegas.com
(that's me with 2 showgirls on my arms.. .what happens in Vegas...lol)

and

www.StockTradingSuccess.com
(this bugger took me hundreds of hours in Vegas 8 to create.. )

(thanks again to DSE, Gary and others for the Vegas training, it's paid off bigtime)

They're both doing extremely well in sales for me, but I just wanted to run them by you folks, since you're Vegas pros, for any constructive feedback. Thanks very much!

to profits,

-Ken

Nicely made Ken,

Didn't watch the whole of the second one though, but it reminded me of commercials we have in Denmark from 'TV Shop' - same concept :-)

I might myself maybe have pulled out the text's in the start like 'imagen yourself...' a bid before the new male shoot, and another time some sec. later, but thats purely my oppinion of course :-)

Well done Ken,

Liked the music and shooting angles. Tell me, how'd you pan/crop over Vegas like that :)

First video was great and so was the second one but the second one had a few flaws that I would not want there.

From my notes while watching the second video,

Blonde girl didn't smile at end of clip, first and last time.

Poor audio from audience testimonials at first and 3 fourths the way through. There should have been a better way to access the audio.

Video showing through the remote control buttons - middle of video. It was like a 'green screen' effect did an oops.

Not to be nit-picky or anything like that, it is sort of like the old don't proof-read your own stiff. I mean stuff. LOL! ;)

While these flaws (oops) may not seem like a big deal and maybe they aren't, if a prospective customer sees them, they may wonder about the integrity of the video(s) being advertised to them.

Still, you did an excellent job with your videos.

Great comments, good catches Danny, agree. Note to self: when keying sony remotes, somehow change the color of the green remote buttons (paint?)! or else it gets keyed out, producing the holes..

right re audience testimonials; I'll have to lav-mic them or use better audio capture in the future, thanks -- tried to clean it up/NR/crisper etc but still muffled..

for the update, I'll look to re-shoot the remote on greenscreen, though I can't fix the girl not smiling... :p good catches, agree w/you 100%

Hi Ken

Las Vegas looked beautiful and the second film had many very polished professional elements in!

Nice work, Ken.

how did you generate the graphic rings etc. at the beginning where the talent was protruding from the 3D-esque graphic?

aaargh!
Those awful Virtual Sets from Ultra and lighting that doesn't match the scene.

Good material but I'd suggest trying to find some cool Offices or Sets and get rid of those God awful Virtual Sets. This would not only make your production look a lot better and more realistic but it would also save you time in Post.

They are both too long and too loud. And both videos freeze middle of the way through several times on my system (which is quite powerful and up to date). What bitrate are you using?

They remind me of the ads I see on at 3:00 AM in the morning on the Sci-Fi channel. Those ads I turn off almost immediately. Too obnoxious and over the top. Who are you marketing to?

I'm up @ 3:00 AM in the morning PST time because I'm listening to or watching the Asian / European equity markets news programs like the good full time day trader that I am preparing for the open.
