My Mistake! - Safe Areas . . .

. .would be nice if they appeared on the 2nd Monitor too . .

My fault, I just did a morning's PnP and Composies .. . THEN I looked on my ExtMon! . . Total TWIT! My type was cut or squashed; my palcement of vids within vids was out of wack; the shape & balance of colours was NOT what I'd planned . . . all my fault.

I love the 2nd Monitor option, real revelation to me .. . Can we have the Safe areas showing on it too? We got something like this in DVDA . .so .. in Vegas too? Please?

Best regards - less hair than 5 hours ago ..

Grazie, ol' chum, I'm confused. Did you have the "safe area" grid turned on when creating your titles in your preview screen?

Correct! Did even LOOK at the Preview - just used the 2nd Monitor screen. Lesson learnt eh? - G

Yeah - I noticed the same thing. The external preview doesn't show the safe area or grid overlays.

I created a safe area mask that I put on the top track to force it show thru, then I can just turn it on and off.

I made a combination safe area and thirds grid (9 equal rectangles 3 x 3, inside the safe area) with transparent background. I also put it on the top track and use it for my full edit. Works WONDERS for placement, correcting angles, alignments, etc. Then, when finished, I just delete the top track.
