I just realized after searching thru the boards that you have to pay to upgrade. IMHO that is a crock, considering I just bought this at Best Buy a month ago and its already outdated. Needless to say im somewhat miffed.
Looks like a return to best buy and will just use Movie Star instead, I got mpeg rendering without having to pay a load extra for an upgrade.
/reminds self to buy more vaseline, sonic and best buy used the whole jar on me

Version 2 has been out a while, so Best Buy is where your beef is.
Version 2 fixes some things, but in my opinion they have also downgraded some features. I liked some of the options that were availabe on V1 but I like the stability of V2 so I will stay with it.
I also use Pinnacle Studio 7 and the programs complement each other well, because what one lacks, the other fills in.
Also, I think you can get an upgrade price for VF2 so you might contact Sonic Foundry first. It is a good program with some good features so it is worth the $59 or so.
