Hi,

I use Vegas 14 and it when I render a video it is in black and white. I was wondering if maybe somebody knows what the problem could be? I didn't set anything knowingly for this, and I am rendering in 1920x1080 and I haven't the foggiest idea idea why. Im working in windows.

Any help would be appreciated !

We have no idea what you do exept something in Vegas 14.
What version and build number?
Which projectproperties? Screenshot please.
Which sourcefiles?? MediaInfo please.
Which (customized?) rendertemplate?
A screenshot also of your Vegas interface before going to render.
Look here to find what you have to do to deliver that information:

Did you turn off fx in the preview window? Betting you have a b/w fx enabled but with fx turned off preview is in color...

System 1:

Windows 10
i9-10850K 10 Core
128.0G RAM
Nvidia RTX 3060 Studio driver [most likely latest]
Resolution        3840 x 2160 x 60 hertz
Video Memory 12G GDDR5

System 2:

Lenovo Yoga 720
Core i7-7700 2.8Ghz quad core, 8 logical
16G ram
Intel HD 630 gpu 1G vram
Nvidia GTX 1050 gpu 2G vram

^ beat me to it. There is a FX bypass button by the preview monitor. If it is pressed, any effects applied to the video will not appear. If you have an effect making your video black and white, it would not appear if that button was pressed.

could be....here's another thing. After it is rendered it plays in color in quicktime, but b&w in another player in windows.

It appears to be off?

yeah, it renders in color when I play it after render in quicktime, and it plays in b&w if I use the VLC player.

could be a problem with VLC. Does MPC-HC do it too?
