My Videos Folder not recognized by VMS or DVDA?

illazilla wrote on 6/21/2007, 5:37 PM
I can't navigate to My Videos folder in VMS or DVDA for some reason. It does not show it there. All the other folders are there except that one. Any ideas why it would not be found in the explorer sections of VMS or DVDA? I have been dragging media straight to the timeline from another window.
Thanks...love the forum and help.

I noticed that too, Ron. I just created a new folder called "Video Files" and use that instead.

Well, only sometimes as I have Video folders on other drives and try to use the C drive sparingly.

On my computer if I collaspe the explorer windows I end up with
"My Computer"
"My Documents"

Then double click on "My Documents", scroll down and "My Videos" is displayed in the directory.
That's how I access "My Videos".

I never use the "My ..." folders for anything. I just create my own directories named what i want where i want them.

I finally had to create another folder and move everything to access them. I never could figure out why that folder never would show up.

I hate to increase the frustration, but I don't have any problem seeing the "My Videos" folder from the "Explorer" tab in VMS. I find it under "Desktop > My Documents > My Videos".

Perhaps you're speaking of something else, or if not maybe it's some kind of VMS or OS setting?
