I have a demo disk from Puffin designs, containing various .mov(Quicktime) files demoing their product. They have a collection of 10 file in one section, and all play perfectly in the QT player and Aftereffects, but one single file refuses to play in Vegas. The file will open in Vegas, and appears on the timeline, though the thumbnail is distorted-looks like multicolored confetti. When I try to play the file on the timeline, Vegas freezes hard, nothing works, and I"m forced to cntrl-alt-delete to task manager in order to close the application. Anybody have any idea why this single file, that plays perfectly in all the other applications I've tried, refuses to play in Vegas, while its litter mates all play fine ?? Do Quiicktime and Aftereffects have greater tolerance for various kins of corruption than does Vegas ?
