Was indeed a great party and YES I'll be wearing that jacket with great pride, certainly made my fellow Aussie travellers a tad green. Both my wife and I would like to thank the team who put so much effort into making it happen and to all the sponsors who provided such great prizes.

Speaking of parties, don't remember just how we ended up at the private Ikegami party at the Tao nightclub in the Venetian but that was a party that was really going 'off'. Let's just say there was no shortage of the best (or the worst depending on your view) that Vegas has to offer and no, they certainly weren't free.

Hey - My wife even made it in there :) She's the one sitting in the chair in the plaid shirt towards the right side of the photo with the caption "Folks stayed late after the party talking for a long time. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves."

Too bad I missed Glenn bustin a move, I'm sure that would have been something to see :D

Did Glenn have an adult beverage, or just real excited about Vegas ?

Glenn Chan, in a life outside of the video world, is a very good break dancer. One of the guys at the party was blackmailing Glenn, showing video's of Glenn dancing, and man...he's really, really good.
I don't believe Glenn had been drinking, no.

Pics show a lot of happy editors! Definely shows the vegas crowd has talent and can party!

Ok, I ain't kidding......

If there EVER is a NAB in Vancouver Canada, I'll supply the Vegas/Acid Booth Babes. Just supply the logo half-tshirts, I'll bring the girls for the photos.

Serious.

with his er..."staff," Stan *is* the Vancouver tourism office.
FrigidNDEditing wrote on 5/3/2006, 8:55 AM
how true

I just can't understand why he's still using a consumer cam... not that many of us have noticed anything but his... staff....

Speaking of staff... Those twin blonde models at the IPTV area in the Sony booth would have been perfect for one of stans vids :D

Dave, Dave, Dave . . just HOW many times do I have to tell you? It isn't the size or age of the equipment - it is HOW it used! In the right hands, you can achieve . .well .. miracles.

Stan - keep it . . .er . . .up . . at least perpendicular anyway.

Grazie

Hey, I actually don't drink at all. I'm pretty straight-edge like that.

So it must be the latter... ;) Yeaaaaaaaahhhhh.....

Great party. And free food + giveaways too... always good.

Ok , enough about my "staff"......( but I am STILL laughing out loud , you guys are hilarious )

But really, VEGAS and ACID are actually cool sounding names for VERY cool products. Maybe that's what Sony could use is some "cool, hot, modern" promo for their software. While they may lack in some pro-editing features, Vegas and Acid more than make up as tools to making online promos, music videos, model showcases, commercials, etc.

What do ya think Sony ??? Might be time to appeal to the hip/cool/progressive/artists out there ?
(none of which I am).....

Let's make Vegas and Acid cool. Because like it or not, they do rock.

As for using my little one chip camera....heh. Trust me, the moment I can afford something more, I'll buy it. Remember, I do what I do mostly out of love and art and fondness of women. Vegas and Acid may not be the "standards" in video production, but they sure do make me feel like an artist. And I really thank them ( and Sonic Foundry ) for that......

........oh and any pics of those twin blonde models at the IPTV area in the Sony booth ?
