Sony have just posted the video files for download from their own site. If any of you are experiencing slow downloads from my site or others you may want to try downloading direct from sony instead.

Links are on my site here

Thanks to Kevin St. Angel at Sony for doing this. It is much appreciated.

Sorry to bump this post back to the top. I am merely adding an update to the status of my streaming video server. You may recall that I had some problems with the server I was using to stream the video.

I have been working with my hosting company since Wednesday afternoon. They have been maintaining the position that their network was configured correctly and there was nothing that would have prevented my server from using the full availability of the 100Mbps port I was connected to.

After a lot of phone calls and extensive emails from me documenting the problems, how I monitored the performance, and why I thought the problem was with their network, I finally found someone who located a config issue with their network that was the likely culprit.

I have done a few tests today and it looks to be performing much better... but until I try another stream where I have as many people trying to access it.. I'll not know for sure.

At least for those of you that continue to view/download the streams from my server you will likely have a better/faster experience.

Thanks for the thanks....

I am now getting over 150KB/sec (1.2Mb/s) when downloading so it looks better than I was getting before. Of course single little data points like this will not prove anythng. I'll need 20-30 of you all hitting the server at the same time to prove I can blast through their prior limit that was at around 5.7Mb/s

Thank you from Down Under.

I too would like to add my thanks for all your efforts. I decided to go ahead and try to download the files over my 56k dialup......I'm a mad keen Vegas user so it was worth the pain of 2 aborted downloads and over 6 hours per file to finally get them.

Was it worth it? You bet! I really appreciate your efforts.

Liam Vegas would you consider making a DVD available to purchase of these 2 streams? I ask because I am the secretary of the Perth, Western Australia Vegas User Group and would love to be able to show these 2 streams at the next PVUG meeting.

Dave. I admire your persistence and I am very glad you finally managed to download them. 6 hours per file sounds quite respectable for 80Mb+ each over dial-up. I hope you don't have to pay a per-minute charge on your dial-up!

To answer your question regarding paying for a DVD of the seminars you might like to read my answer to a similar request in another thread.
