Naming & encoding files from one long timeline?

I've recently converted hundreds of midi files to wav audio by playing them through my sound module, then through an Inspire firewire device onto the Vegas timeline. Each song is separated by 2 seconds of silence. I know the order of the songs (they're alphabetical) Is there by any chance some way to make the process of exporting and naming these individual songs easier? Or am I going to have to highlight an area, render the looped area as a filename, go to the next song, highlight it, render as a filename, etc... It just seems there should be something I can do to make this process (330 songs) a bit easier.........?

Is there a way to split an event everywhere there is silence, meaning, in between each song that I recorded?

This has been a long time feature of Sound Forge. I don't think Vegas will do it though.
Sorry but that doesn't help you much I guess

Yeah this has become quite tedious. I have to manually go between each song, chop it, double click to select, press R to make a region and name the region the song name. Just have to do a few dozen per day until it's done in this case.
