Webm sample files can be downloaded here.

VideoReDo TV Suite will open the .webm sample file. Since it is a non-destructive cutter, it may be an option if you just want to cut 5 minutes of content out of 5 hours of meetings.

Thanks, however, I'm not going to spend more money on yet another video editor when I've already spent hundreds on Vegas Pro versions.

Why not just use OBS Studio and pick any codec and wrapper you want?

Analysis of webm low bit rate (438 kb/s):

  • Very little scene change from frame to frame

which allows

  • 11 second group of pictures

Long GOP sucks for editing.

Although my test video was admittedly of a mostly static Pandora screen, in reality real business meetings often have long periods of static screen displays or minimally changing displays.

Great. Then it may be useful in the future on my home computer, but I can't install apps on my work laptop.
