@Martin L

Sorry to hear that.

Me too.

I like Boris TS, but one thing it does, eats up a ton of system RAM depending what you are doing.

Ok, I'll keep that in mind.

@Martin L Good to here you're switching to TS. As I've mentioned, it's a fairly steep learning curve, but well worth it in the end. Check out my series on YouTube (Veteran Video Editor). I start from the very basics and take it all the way (well almost). I can't say I've noticed the RAM issue reported by @Reyfox, even on my previous system, which was an aging 4th gen i5, with 16G RAM.

@Jack S, thanks for your hard work on your channel! A hidden gem!

As for BorisFX Title Studio. The first screenshot is the amount of RAM used when opening a project. 3 4k clips on the timeline, total length 49 seconds.

Second screenshot is RAM used when TP (using Continuum Complete 2023.5) FX Browser and selecting Lower 3rds from the menu, opening all the lower third templates.

Last screenshot is from within Vegas with Task Manager overlayed showing the amount of RAM being used with Vegas and TS which is 5 seconds.

I had someone ask me about the amount of RAM used by Boris because he was having the same issues with how much RAM is being used.

Yes, I have started to try to learn the ropes now. Seems quite complicated. I just wrote you a message, because on the Vegas timeline the titles are washed out and video clip content black (invisible). Wonder if there is any simple reason for that, perhaps some compositing setting? Or alpha?

Jack S wrote on 8/25/2023, 11:30 AM

@Reyfox Firstly, thanks for the comment.
This is my memory usage with the timeline playing over an empty event with a complex TS title applied. It also has an adjustment event on the track above that has a lens flare effect applied. The reduced RAM must be because I'm using a Full HD project, not a 4K one.

Hi!! Recently upgraded Vegas Pro Edit 21.
Media Generator - showing NewBlue Titler Pro 7 - Open Fx - wouldn't open
Followed these steps listed here : Uninstalled Live2Post > Rebooted PC > Shf +Ctl + Vegas Pro 21 shortcut to Full reset.

Making Progress: Now, in Media Generator I see : Vegas ProType Titler : Empty - Centered- Center Baseline - Near Baseline. It opens and I can enter and make titles. Is this NewBlue Titler 7 Pro that came with Vegas Pro 21?

Thinking of uninstalling Vegas Pro 21 - registry cleaning - rebooting - then clean installing Vegas Pro 21 making sure Live 2 Post is not installed - just to see what appears in Media Generator : ProType Titler of New Blue Titer Pro 7. Not uninstalling until I hear from all of you! Thanks.

@Liquidfusion Hi, Vegas ProType Titler is a native title editor in Vegas, NewBlue Titler 7 Pro is a separate plugin that opens it's own window,

Presuming you've installed Newblue close Vegas then try deleting these two files from C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\21.0 BIN File section, then open Vegas, these files will get recreated again.

PS, NewBlue Titler Pro 7 will be in the Video FX tree

After dragging onto an event & it's opened Newblue Titler Pro looks like this

Liquidfusion wrote on 12/7/2023, 7:57 PM

1st Uninstalled Vegas Pro 20 various locations on my PC. Then deleted the 2 bin files. Reopened Vegas Pro 21. Video Fx - no NewBlue Titler Pro 7 - Open Fx.

Trying a repair reinstall of Vegas Pro 21 to get back NewBlue Titler Pro 7 - Open Fx

Former user wrote on 12/7/2023, 8:13 PM

@Liquidfusion Have you installed NewBlue Titler Pro 7?

Liquidfusion wrote on 12/7/2023, 9:06 PM

Clean Vegas Pro Edit 21 Install - Missing: NewBlue Titler Pro 7 - Open Fx.

Enabling deprecated Pro Titler works for the Vegas Titler. The NewBlue Pro Titler 7 - Open Fx - must be from Vegas 20 that was recently upgraded to Vegas Pro 21. Vegas Hub Tabs are all present. Hub Explorer is there : Downloads - Drop -Projects.- No Active Subscription.

Earlier Vegas Pro Suite versions - have these plugins + SN License
Installed in Vegas Pro 21 - NewBlue - Elements 3 Overlay
Installed in Vegas Pro 21 - NewBlue - Filters 5 Ultimate
Not Installed - Vegas Pro Complete - Contains NewBlue Titler Pro 7 - Open Fx - No download links available

At Boris FX - Permanent License
Installed in Vegas Pro 21 - Boris Fx - Continuum Premium Filters — Multi-host
Installed in Vegas Pro 21 - Continuum Units — Multi-host

New Blue Titler Pro 7 - Open Fx - must have been installed with an earlier version of Vegas Pro

NewBlue Titler Pro 7 is a 3rd party plugin that needs to be purchased - it is not a native Vegas plugin. If you have purchased NB Titler Pro 7 from NewBlue then you will need to install NBTP7 from its .exe file in order to get it to appear in Vegas Pro 20 and 21. If you acquired the fully featured NBTP7 as an inclusion in a special Vegas Pro package at some time, then again it will need to be installed via its .exe file.

The former VEGAS Stream came with a heavily trimmed down version of TP7 but that product has since been discontinued - see https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/what-happen-to-vegas-stream--142091/

It is important to stress that the NB titler in VEGAS Stream was not and never was the fully featured NB Titler Pro 7 product.

Thank you GID + Dexcon - that must be it - Vegas Stream is on my PC from an earlier Version of Vegas Pro. When I uninstalled Live2Post - the NewBlue Titler7 Pro - Open Fx was gone (didn't work in Upgrade of Vegas Pro 21).

jetdv wrote on 12/8/2023, 6:36 AM

@Liquidfusion, "Live2Post" installs an extremely stripped down version of Titler Pro 7 that allows importing titles created with VEGAS Stream to be added to the timeline. It does not allow editing those titles or creating new titles. Only importing the already used titles. As was mentioned, VEGAS Stream has been discontinued.

If you had a package that included Titler Pro 7, you would need to reinstall that package. If you are missing an installer, if it isn't too old, NewBlue may be able to help you find the installer. You would need to check with NewBlue support.

Glad I found this forum / thread - Right now I've upped my Vegas Pro 21 Edit version to the next level by adding in licenses of software I was given mostly from Vegas 20 (have versions back to 14). Found HD stock footage online. I can even add DVD Architect - never used it. Might hold off on this.

Vegas Pro won't start!! Installed Continuum update that I thought I had a license or from earlier Vegas Pro. Turned out this was a subscription for the Continuum - even after it requested my Activation Key from Vegas Pro and said SUCCESS!! Tried uninstalling the Continuum software and now can't start vegas Pro 21. Have uninstalled - registry cleaned - reinstalled Vegas Pro 21 several times - even searching the registry for Vegas Pro and all entries.

Success!!! Vegas Pro Edit 21 starts up great!!!! Fast!!!!!!!!

FIX : Deleted Folders :
- C:\Program Files - BorisFX and BorisFX,Inc.
- C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins > BCC_OFC.ofx.bundle and BCC_DFT

Win 10 Registry + jv16 PowerTools X : Searched / removed all Vegas Pro - cleaned registry - Rebooted PC

Installed: Boris Hub - Continuum Title Studio + Continuum Particle Illusion + NewBlue - Elements 3 Overlay + NewBlue - Filters 5 Ultimate!!!!!!!!!!! Licences paid for with earlier versions of Vegas Pro all work well in Vegas Pro Edit 21!! Yeah!!!

Pblm : Continuum update put subscription software in Vegas Pro. Deleting software caused Vegas Pro to not start. Vegas Pro Engineers take note of Problem and Fix above!!!

Vegas Pro Edit 21 Desktop icon > Right Click > Properties > Compatibility > Run this program as an as administrator

WIN 10 64bit - Cmd Prompt > sfc/ scannow and then DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth - all good

Just an update! I just got a new suggestion from NB support, and it works.

Just to recap, I have performed multiple Clean Installs without success.
I have Titler Pro 7 installed on VP21 360 firstly and now VP 22 360, and NB Titler has been crashing for a loooong time.

The suggestion I got now was to delete or move the file named OFXBridgeB64.dll from C:\Program Files\NewBlueFX\Common

It worked. Now NB Titler works like a charm.
