I've always wanted to visit London, how is it? All I know about it is from what I saw in the movie "American Werewolf In London" ... (typical yank)... looks like a fun place to at least visit... is it as cold and gloomy as people make out, or is it actually a good place to live/visit?

I've never been there.. just to Ireland (I'm part Irish), to eat at "Old Nellie's" steak pub house w/Guinness... Ireland's nice, I like the countryside and cliffs and golfing...

curious,

This is actually kind of interesting.
1000 users doesn't sound like Vegas is a viable product yet I just followed a link that someone posted here to D/L a Vegas optical dissolve FX and the Hitometer on that site reads over 56,000.
I can't imagine anyone other than Vegas users go there or maybe the hitmeter is tracking more than just us downloading freebies but ya gotta wonder.

Surprisingly there are a few in my home state - Iowa.
We will have to form a users group and have coffee at a Starbucks.

I was looking a couple weeks back at the map to see who was near me- I looked up some of the user names on the forum and some do not post to Vegas, only to Acid or Soundforge, etc. So, some on the map may not be Vegas users at all- just madison software users in general.

Vegasusers.com doesn't attract many participatory visits. Lots of people come to look and download, but never post anything. It's the second busiest site i have with probably 1000 to 3000 visitors daily, and and the largest byte traffic with usually about 1GB of downloads daily too. Those who actually "leave a mark", whether it be to post in the forums, comment on a video, or put their pin in the map, are a vanishingly tiny portion. So, while the map might be fun and a handy way to see who's near you, it definitely is not representative of Vegas' popularity.

Also most of the visitors find the site through search engines rather than links here or on other Vegas related sites. Many may not even be Madison Software users at all. A large number of the searches are for "Sony Vegas" or "Vegas video" or "video editing", so hopefully new people get a somewhat decent introduction to Vegas there. Then again, a lot of the visitors to the site use the video search fuction to look for "sex" and probably end up going away disappointed. ;)

Not a very accurate way of placing dots... I thought I would get a chance to zoom in and nail down the real spot... I think I put myself in the Atlantic Ocean... D'oh!
