I get this message when the burn process reach 3%:

The drive couldn't determine the correct power for writing the disc. To solve this you need to use a different writing speed or a different brand of media.

I use the 1300A with absolutely no problems -- BUT I use decent media (RITEK) -- are you using really cheapo media?

As the message suggests: choose a different writing speed and see if that works. Or try using something like Nero to burn the prepared files instead.

Or just buy some decent disks in the first place - as they a usually to blame for writing errors.
