Need Help: Can't render any videos

Hi!

I am using the free trial version of Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11. I have made my first movie, with no problems until I go to render the video.

No matter what render settings I select, I get an error message telling me that I don't have enough memory, and that I should close all other applications before rendering.

I am not running any other applications, and according to my system info I should have plenty of spare ram. I am using an HP Pavilion G series, with 6 GB of RAM (3.83 GB are shown as "available).

Any suggestions? Is there anything I have missed?

Thanks, Nevin.

Hi Nevin,
Please post more about the source footage you're trying to render (codec, format, bit rate, file size). That will make it easier for people on the forum to help you.

My main problem on Movie Studio version 9 was not having enough memory. An expert on the another site recommended uploading photos on an external hard drive and saving the final rendered project on the external hard drive. My problem was that with the transitions on the hard drive and the photos also on the hard drive, it was causing my laptop CPU to work too much and was unable to handle. As soon as i took the advice, there were no rendering issues and I was a happy camper. Now looking into Version 11. Good luck!
