Hi so the title kind of explains the problem but i bought the sony vegas pro 18 disk a year or so ago and downloaded the software and was able to use it initially. After taking a long break (many months im not sure exactly) it now asks me to register to use the software but I don't have the serial number on the back of my disk case like the prompt says. Anyone who might know something please help.

As you have already installed and used your Vegas Pro 18 previously, you would have had to have registered and activated it on MAGIX's website. If you go to the Vegas Pro listing under My Products in your MAGIX My Account, you will find the serial number there.

Please note that Sony has not been involved with Vegas Pro since version 13; see https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/sony-vegas-vs-vegas--119881/

@Daniel-McKay-Simons What exactly did you purchase and from where?

Where did you buy it from? It couldn't have been from MAGIX because MAGIX doesn't sell versions of Vegas Pro prior to the then current version - which would have been Vegas Pro 21 a year or so ago.
