Sounds like you need a firewire cable. Connect this between the camcorder and your computer. In the lower left corner of Vegas' screen look over the Project Media (or Media Pool) window and click on the little camcorder icon. This will start up the capture program. You can then play the tape in the camcorder and capture to your hard drive.
