MP4 files don't support transparency. You need to render to a file type that does. Try mov with a codec that supports 32 bit for an alpha channel, or uncompressed avi. I'm not sure about other avi or other formats.

Is there a special reason for you requiring a transparent background?

Yeah. Every time I render it, I always get a black screen. I checked on VideoPad and it's not transparent.

What was the "it' that you checked and in what way did you check it on Videopad?

@Tristan-Herbert Here are two options native to Vegas Pro 23 that support transparency.

Apple ProRes 4444 XQ

Video for Windows (AVI) Uncompressed

There are others like MagicYUV for purchase at a reasonable price.

Did you output ProRes 4444 or an AVI type with transparency?

I'm only on my free trial, and I don't see "Render As" on the File tab

It's possible to render from the trial.

@Tristan-Herbert it's File - Render (they removed the "As")
