Need help to confirm Blu-Ray Render crash

This came to light while trying to help MichiA in this thread:
AVCHD render crash

I discovered I could get Vegas to crash immediately on trying to render a Blu-Ray output by just changing one value, the bitrate, to 20,000,000.
It's curious that the default value in the template is 16,000,000 -- but it is not listed in the pulldown menu choices for bitrates -- 20,000,000 is listed,
but it crashes the render -- at least on my system. 16,000,000 works fine as do other choices. Is this a known problem at 20,000,000? Am I missing something?
.. If I can confirm I'll submit it to Sony.
Blu-Ray Render Crash Settings

Can anyone else confirm? I think it is the same for Blu-Ray 1920 x 1080-60i template.

Crashed for me too @ 20Mbs.

I used the same Sony AVC codec but for Blu-ray 1080/60i. Used a 23 sec .mts file. Successful at 10, 15, and 16Mbs. Crashed within 1-2 secs using 17, 18, 19, and 20Mbs.

Running 8.0c on XP 32 bit, SP3.

I didn't realize this has been going on since V8 --- wow .. Must not be used much. In fact, I'm not sure who would use this setting or for what? -- I don't think you' d use it to make a Blu-Ray DVD with DVDA . Wouldn't that be MPEG2 ? --- but for some reason it is a choice we are given. Why shouldn't it work?

Same result here...crashes at anything over 16mps.

I can confirm this problem too.
BluRay can be MPEG2, H264 or WMV, you can read in wikipedia. The template SONY AVC creates H264/MPEG4 - files.

I wish Sony Creative Software does test more the default settings of the templates, like the mp4 - problem I have (don't know if other users have the same problem: see http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?MessageID=708127 for a mp4 solution)
