Comments TheHappyFriar wrote on 7/23/2004, 1:19 PM Windows Media 9 tools are free. TMPGenc 2.5 does free mpeg-1 encoding. You can also use the Divx encoder, or other free AVI codec's. Windows Media will play on any mac/PC (windows MP9) no problem, and mpeg-1 should play on any system in existance (PC, Mac, Linux, Sun, SGI, etc). vicmilt wrote on 7/23/2004, 1:34 PM windows media player 9 would not open the Quicktime MOV files. Where did I go wrong? What is TMPGenic 2.5? where do I get it? which is the totally EASIEST to use? v. Former user wrote on 7/23/2004, 1:37 PM You have to have Quicktime loaded before you can convert. And I think you have to have the full PRO version. For TMPgenc, do a search with Google. Best/Tommy 1
