Need some DVD info

So.. this is probably a dumb newbie question.. but I've recently purchased a blu-ray player, and have successfully used other software to burn DVDs with AVCHD video that plays on it. I am now trying to use Studio 9.0a platinum, with no success.
(Getting an error about disk speed not matching - even though I've tried both 2.4x and 8x DVD+R DL disks in my DL Disk Writer)

What are the formats I should use (I tried the default), and what do I need to know about disk types for doing DL disks?

Thanks,
-Kevin

DL disks are less compatible with devices than normal DVD disks. I suggest you use normal DVDs. If you still can't create compatible DVD-HD AVCHD disks that your BD can read, then the problem might lie with the AVCHD support of your BD player. Not all BD players play these.

Thanks for the reply, Eugenia. I'll give that a try.. though I think I already tried that once. And as I said, my player was able to read a AVCHD disk I created with another software program (Pinnacle Studio), so I'm not sure why the one created by Vegas doesn't work.

Thanks again

Possibly a small codec incompatibility... I would give that info to Sony via their online form and give the BD info model too to them to investigate.
