I can take a picture of mine tonight if you would like(pretty sure you can see what I have laid out) or I could just give you a list of what I have .

Done it before. Here it is. It's 8 but it's pretty much the same now with 10.

I like to see my tracks so dedicate one screen just for tracks.

I use two 24" monitors (each 1920x1200). Here is a zip with the screen layouts files that i commonly use (Vegas Pro 11 PC version).

Ulf, I use ALL the Window layouts. And I've applied a type of logic to them. Apart from anything else it reminds me what I'm doing with acproject and at what point.

So:-

Alt+D+0 and up to +4 are variations on a theme of auditioning using Media Manager.

Alt+D+5 and +6 is my BIG Timeline stretching through my 32" main monitor.

Alt+D+7 my Audio Layout with the Mixer loud and Proud!

Alt+D+8 my FXing/Colour Correcting and Grading

Alt+D+9 The FINAL stripped-down lean and mean Render Layout.

So, there you have it. Having this approach to layouts makes it a cinch to 3 finger my way through my projects and dip in and out of layouts that give me specific focus to a work space, be it Audio or fx-ing or rendering or needing to see a mass of tracks.

I did have one for Pro Type Titler ..... but for some reason (wink) I don't use that much now.

Grazie

Here is one that I use mostly, I also have a LCD TV plugged into HDMI for my preview monitor. I have several other setups saved for different kind of editing. one has just the mixer console on the right monitor, another has all tracks on the left and tools on the right.
I really like the fact that you can create different workspaces and save them and then switch between them on the fly, also I have them backed up so I can reinstall them when I have to reload or update my computer.

Have fun setting up and post a pic so we can see what you came up with.

Thanks again all - will try out the shortcuts, Grazie - good idea to change during a project, depending on what you are working on.
