Need to convert .mov file to mpeg2

Hello, I have a friend that'd looking for some ,not too costly, software to convert his .mov files from his digital still camera to mpeg2 files. I couldn't think of any. Do any of you all know of anything.

Probably screenblast would do it. It's not the cheapest but it gets him in a vegas world.

Looks like procoder express could do it. $59.95 from Canopus. I bought one over the weekend and it performed great for a low cost product.

tmpgenc is free for the first 30 days and will convert mov files to mpeg2

you have to install the free qt/mov reader
