need update for sonic foundry 4.0 xp

i just bought plextor 12/10/32a writer but of course theres always a problem its not supported by this program any help

There's not much you can do, except to try to get the unsupported drive recognized by Architect. Sometimes it works; often it doesn't. Open up the software and go to Options->Select Drive and click on "Advanced." For drive type, choose "ATAPI MMC Compatible" if your drive is an internal IDE drive or "SCSI MMC Compatible" if your drive is SCSI. For SCSI Host, select one option and then click on SCSI Drive to see if your drive shows up there. If it doesn't, try the other options under SCSI Host and then check SCSI Drive. Click Okay, and the drive may work.
