Nero error when using DVDA Files

Hi Folks,

I just recently purchased DVD Architect and used it to write DVD files to my hard disc. When using Nero (v5.5.10.20) to burn the DVD disc (using the Nero DVD-Video format type) I get the following errors.

- File size is not a multiple of a logical block size (2 KB)
- DVD-Video files reallocation failed

Has anyone seen this behavior before with DVD Architect output and Nero? BTW, Nero gave me the option to ignore this error and continue to burn the disc. When I did ignore the error, the disc (DVD+RW) burned successfully and works in at least one DVD video player I tried. So at this point the issue is more of a curiosity than anything else.

Also, I tried burning directly from DVD Architect to my Dell branded NEC ND-1100A (firmware 10GE) and did not have good results. While the operation claimed to be successful, it went way too fast and resulted what appeared to be an empty DVD+RW disc.

Thanks!

Rob Bond

I had a problem with an older version of Nero burning a DVD-R (DVD-It SE authoring) with my Pioneer 104. I then tried burning the same project using Prassi PrimoDVD and it worked fine. I think the Prassi came with the Pioneer Drive. Might be worth a shot. My Pioneer seems to work fine with DVDA though so I just use it to burn.

Make sure you are using at least Nero 5.5.10.15.
Don't use the wizard and choose DVD-ROM ISO (top entry)

I get the same error messages when burning from Nero Express (v5.5.10.20). The quickfix was to uninstall and install a older version (v5.5.10.7b). No errors.

It doesn't seem to be a problem with DVDA, since it always worked with the older version.

However, it still cannot properly write a disk name...
