some possable ominous news about forth coming fees for users of mpeg4 codecs (divx, xvid, h264, wmv, qt, et. al. )..
could be a nasty mess with many open source mpeg4 codecs also in play

From what I read from the article, what they are offering now for download (new CE versions) were already included with the Nero 6 package.
The article also says that Nero doesnt plan to pass on the costs to their customers.
Still, I believe you get 50,000 freebies according to the Mpeg licensing standards. After 50K, then you pay. Maybe that will change.
Either way, I expect Nero will take care of its users. Its amazing how far Nero has came from being just a CD burning program. Now if we could only get a little more variety of players available in the USA, Id be even more happy.
