I've noticed that when I open a master project with x number of nested projects, the nested projects must render within the master project. But when it comes time to print to tape, Vegas requires that the entire project rerender again. What's the difference in these renders? I have a 20-minute project, and while I LOVE the nested project functionality, it's definitely slow when you consider the extra layer of rendering. (The PTT rendering process alone is taking 30 minutes on a high-end Athlon processor with 2GB RAM.)

Can someone speak to the process that underlies nested project rendering?
