Nested Veg? Right Click Edit In Vegas?

Grazie wrote on 6/2/2009, 2:12 AM
Ehhh....

I have got 3 Veggies made in VP9, now brought back into a NEW Veg - they are now nested. I now want to edit one of these veggies, "Edit in Vegas", but I get is VP8 wanting to get at it - and of course, these VP9s will not open in VP8! Hmmm....

Somebody please confirm/repro/deny? I'm running XP-32.

Cheers

Grazie

Seems to work correctly down under.

Not certain if the file association set in Windows has any bearing or not, might pay to check it though. My has Vegas 9 associated with the .veg extension.

You running this on XP-32?

And yes, associations when VP9 comes up I tell it to associate. Maybe, unlike OTHER flavours of Vegas updates/upgrades I need to force this at a MS level?

Thanks . . . .

"You running this on XP-32?"

Of course. Bob no like "bleeding edge".

"unlike OTHER flavours of Vegas updates/upgrades I need to force this at a MS level?"

I did not force this and regardless of association you'd kind of think that Vegas90.exe would logical call 'Vegas90.exe abc.veg'

I have the opposite problem. I edit in V8 but have V9 installed. When I right click on nested veg in V8, it ops up in V9. Changing associations in folder properties does not cure it.
I am using XP pro 32 bit.

I've got V8 & V9 installed (XP Pro 32-bit) and, if I right click on a nested veg in V8, it opens up in V8.

Iteresting how there are three different outcomes from same command. One hopes all 3 of us have default installation setup .

Mahesh, I think yours is the most interesting.

Seriously Mahesh, please do open a ticket with SONY right away. I have logged mine with SCS. You sending yours will add to the weight of information for them.

And NO, you are correct, associations do NOT change the outcome.
