Net Frame 4.0 Okay for Windows XP 32bit??

Said it all in the title pretty much. Any reason why I can't install Microsoft Net Framework 4.0 on my XP 32 bit system? I need it for 3dsMax 2012 32bit.

I had to install it for 2010 .Net C++ Express. No issues so far.

For those who are thinking about Net 4 you might want to read this from the MS knowledgebase:

Scroll toward the end and read the ADD/REMOVE program part especially.

I appreciate very much all of the comments. I've installed netframe 4.0 and everything seems fine so far. Touch wood. Even 3dsMax now opens happily.

Looks like the biggest problem with NET 4 is a problem install may not allow you to open programs that rely on it. If it installed OK, you should be fine.
