Which version of Vegas are you installing? Is it a trial version? Is it from the CD or download? Do the machines have DirectX and .Net framework installed?

I bought it online here. It's Vegas 5a. And yes, the other machines have Direct X and .Net framwork installed. (Both Windows XP Home).

The Installation Wizard has ended prematurely!

Your system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, please run the installation again.

Click the Exit button to exit the Istallation Wizard.

It happens everytime I try to install. I can't call the support line because it's too early in the morning here in Hawaii, and I got a project (huge) due in the afternoon.
Thanks for the attention SonyPJM.

Is the problem only with the render-only installation? Did the machines previously have the full version of Vegas 5 installed?

Yes.

Did the machines previously have the full version of Vegas 5 installed?
machine A had the render only, I re-installed it because I was getting network error messages.

machine B had the full version, then I uninstalled it because I wanted the full version on my new editing machine I got a couple of weeks later.
