Just recieved download and so far so good. SEEMS TO BE A LOT MORE COMPLICATED .Is their any thing else I need to download such as updates at this time.I have been using vw3for 3 years. The only thing I have tried so far was putting 30 stll pics with music and several transitions.Very impressed with results.Just need time to absorb info. Thanks for all on this forum for advice now and later.

It does take some getting used to, but after playing with it for a while, you'll get good at it. Going from a storyboard to a timeline is much easier to use (for me).
Don't forget, if you are using the demo version, you won't be able to save or render anything.

I have complete version. Now I have to get more hard drive to handle my videos. One problem I captured 30 min of video, which I could not do before, made changes titles etc. but did not have enough hard drive to render for DV output to tape. I wanted to see if there was audio out of sync problems. Oh well always something

More $$, I know...I'm going to buy a new HD tomorrow.
Have you tried to render your video to MPEG? You probly have enough space for that.

And don't worry... there's no dreadful audio out of sync problem with VF. : )

What I want TO DO IS CAPTURE ENTIRE WEDDING EDIT WITH TWO CAMERAS, TRANSITIONS AND TITLES AND THEN BACK OUT TO DIGITAL VIDEO FOR FINISHED PRODUCT.Glad to hear no audio problems. Guess I'll just do 15 min clips and out to camera and then another 15 mins. Wedding usually 30 min.I was thrilled it captured 30 mins without stopping due to win 98 . When I capture from dv what format does it save to disk? Its just when I come back with finished product that I need digital.Another ? I put it all on a vcd but it does not play on my cdrom . Do I NEED SPECIAL SOFT WEAR TO PLAY?
Thanks,
Charles

To play VCDs on a computer, with Windows Media Player:

1. Insert the VCD in your CDROM drive.

2. Open Windows Media Player.

3. From the File menu, select Open...

4. From the drop-down menu at the top of the dialog box that opens, double-click your CDROM drive.

5. Open the MPEGAV folder and select ALL FILES (*.*) from the Files of type: drop down menu at the bottom of the dialog box, not the Media Files (all types) which is the usual default.

6. Choose a track to play by opening the desired AVSEQxx file.
