NewBlueFX just released a collection of video and audio plug-ins that at first glance look quite useable for people who don't want to dive deeply into the complexity of traditional plugs.

The concept is to provide a more application-oriented user interface as opposed to a tool-oriented interface.

They have a free sample Vegas plug-in for download, HaloVision, that creates an aura around objects (or more commonly people). Perfect for those church productions.
