Serena, in the Is Vegas Pro not able to smart render? thread, user wwaag says that using the V10 aviplug.dll will allow V12_394 to smart-render Cineform footage.
Is that what you were thinking of?

Just tried the v10 aviplug.dll in the new build and smart render works again.

Back from holidays so I've downloaded the latest V12 and it crashes during loading. Uninstalled and repeated -- crashed. Uninstalled and installed previous version, and now that crashes also on startup.

So far so good with build 486 or even 394, that is with GPU OFF which I might turn on for the final renders.

I've held off with V12 until this release. So far 1X 1hr project in the bag. Nothing too testing, but all very stable,with GPU on. This on my normal edit system that had problems with the Beta versions.

As long as I use this 486 release, so far so good...

Had issues once with Color Curve UI, a bit difficult to explain how the problem is. But, restarting Vegas fixed the issue, and didn't find something odd.

Hopefully it is...
