Bad USB port? If you have a USB-Serial connector and a serial input, does it work better?

Did you get your previous project media "offline" problem corrected?

Sounds like there may be some IRQ sharing problems or BIOS setting problem then. Might check the IRQ's out (My Computer/Properties/Hardware/Device Manager then View/Resources by Connection). You might have to switch some boards to different slots if some big things are sharing the same IRQ.

If all IRQs look good, then review your bios settings.

Based on this post, and the other two you just posted, I recommend you wipe your drives and do a fresh install of everything. You've got something weird going on.

I'm wondering if it might be that Matrox card - I've had a few issues with older Matrox cards. I'm wondering if the mouse only "looks" like it's sticky because of some video card display issue...

Of course this is a total shot in the dark but it would be a quick thing to check if you had another vid card laying around.

Good luck

I use a Matrox G450 Dual to drive two of my three monitors. The other card is a old ATI. No problems here - knock on wood.

Do you have any processes hogging the CPU?
