New dual monitor preview & interlaced video

The new previewing functions of Vegas are really neat, but to my eyes at least, the video looks way better still using a Canopus Box and interlaced monitor. This is because using the dual monitor preview, the video is interlaced at 30 fps instead of showing a new field ever 1/60th of a second. What would be ideal would be if 60 times a second, a new line doubled field was displayed, like PowerDVD or WinDVD do. I know this is a big request, but it would be so much better.

The main reason to use an external PAL or NTSC monitor is so you can view your program as it'll be seen by others. 'Course, for progressive scan video, the second screen feature would be pretty good, but viewing interlaced SD videos on your computer screen probably not the best option. Happily, Vegas is giving you more choices now so you can pick the best monitoring option for the project at hand.

Yeah, I have a dual purpose TV / computer monitor, so I can use the same screen both ways. For most of what I do, the old way is better, but there are some cool things about the dual monitor setup, like now I can work with PAL footage for one thing.
