New Feature Request - Still frame length

Hey all-
I am an editor who has ended up doing a lot of animatic editing based on storyboards made by animators.

inside the "preferences" under editing there is a place where I can set the length of the frames for new still images. This is great as sometimes I have to put 10 stills in which will work best at 4 frames each, and then this will be followed by 10 which will work best at 2 frames each (for example).

The only pain is that to change this setting I have to go through all the menus, etc, in order to change the setting.

If this could be changed to a hotkey, and handled via a couple keystrokes, it would be a BOON for productivity!!!

I have been a Vegas user since V3, so I would love it if Sony could take this under consideration. I would probably convert a lot of other editors if this change were made!

Chap, you should trial Vegasaur!

Do the following:

Select multiple events on the timeline and then go to:
Vegasaur
Editing
Quick Properties
Events
Length: dial in your event timing
Apply

Then:
Vegasaur
1 Click Commands
Close Gaps (either selected events or tracks)

Today I had over a 100 stills that I had to time to 4 frames each and again Vegasaur came to the rescue.

alternatively, go to edit detail tab, highlight required frames (events) type in new length.....

These types of post media import, timeline layout tasks, are easily accomplished using Timeline Tools. Here's a video using an older version of the program that describes laying out timeline Events for a photo slideshow project. Below that is a link to a video that shows how you can use Timeline Tools to move one or more Events in the Vegas timeline with just a few mouse clicks. The same is true to reverse the order of one or more Events.
