New laptop, can't add fxs efficiently

I just upgraded from editing on a basic home laptop to MSI Katana GF66 15 Gaming laptop w/ Core i9-12900H Processor, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, GeForce RTX 3070 TI 8GB

I downloaded Vegas (purchased) with my account

but when I go to add fxs the playback freezes. I go to add levels to my footage but I can't see the changes while adjusting them. I have to close out of "video event FXs" window before I see the changes. This is very not very efficient and my old computer with much lower GPU was able to play the video and make color corrections at the same time.

Please let me know if there is any reason for this or if are any settings I can adjust to make editing more efficient. Thanks for your time/help!

I meet the same problem like you, new Laptop, I7 16GB of ram and RTX 2600 and i can't see the changing setting and tweaking fx to reflect on a movie in real time, only when i close the windows

This is happening when the latest driverversions for your Nvidia GPU is used.
The latest version that worked well was version 522.30 as you can see on my signature using at the laptop

I too have experienced this, but only with the invert effect, which kills preview playback until it is removed completely from the FX chain. Only tested on my laptop. Nobody else has been able to reproduce this one, but it's similar to your issue, so maybe connected somehow.

J’ai ce même soucis lorsque je fais un copier coller d’un titre, que je modifie le titre collé, la modification n’apparait pas à l’écran, si je reviens à la prévisualisation, l’image est figée, le son reste bon, et ça fini par un plantage général... J’ai aussi remarqué que si j’applique un effet celui-ci n’est pris en compte qu’après fermeture de la fenêtre de l’effet. Ceci se passe sur tous mes fichiers.

J’ai réinstaller Studio 17.0 mais rien n’y fait. J’en conclue donc que ça ne vient pas du logiciel et que j-v tient une solution à ce problème

Comment faire pour revenir à Studiodriver 522.30 comme le propose j-v ?

Comme l’a indiqué j-v, j’ai téléchargé et réinstallé le driver 522.30 NVIDIA via le lien donné. Après le redémarrage de mon portable et l’ouverture d’un fichier Movie Studio 17.0 Platinium, j’ai retrouvé toutes les fonctionnalités initiales du logiciel.

Grand merci à j-v pour son coup de main, nous voilà une nouvelle fois sauvés...
